They broke surface into a dark nightmare world; dense driving rain combined with stinging salt spray driven by a fearsome wind. Niklas once more took a hold on Patrick’s harness and Thomas did likewise at his other side. Even at this close proximity it was nigh on impossible to hear each other’s shouts.
